In today’s blog post, I am sharing a preview of the OHM Beads July Release. This is a smaller launch with three beads releasing.
I will be using OHM Beads promotional photos today, as I have not received OHM Cairn or OHM Shark Bay yet to take additional photos and video. My local postal services have been quite slow, the past few months. I am so excited to see these two beads in-person to give a full review!
So, if you are ready…make sure to grab a cup of tea and let’s get started!
OHM Cairn | OHM Lab Project
Laboratory Assistant | Patricia McClure @the_mcctrish
I’ll put a stone on your stone.
– Gaelic Blessing of Friendship
The first bead I have to share with you is OHM Cairn. This is an OHM Lab Project with the Laboratory Assistant being the wonderful Patricia McClure AKA @the_mcctrish. This glass bead is inspired by the stacking of stones or rocks, also known as cairns in Gaelic Scotland.
OHM Cairn will add a subtle, carefully balanced hue of color to your bracelet, reminding you of the precious impermanence of each day, the gratitude you feel for guideposts along your journey, and the friendships you share that stack blessing upon blessing. “I’ll put a stone on your stone” and a pebble of good luck too!
– OHM BEADS X @the_mcctrish
This is a OHM glass bead and features peaceful stones stacked together. This stone detail goes all around the bead. From the photos I have seen, this bead looks calming and so unique. I love the neutral colours of greys and whites, two staple colours in my wardrobe. I am looking forward to styling this bead!
OHM Shark Bay | Exclusive
The next bead I have to share with you is OHM Shark Bay. This is a regional exclusive glass bead to OHM in Australia.
The bead is inspired by Shark Bay, located in the western point of Australia. Shark Bay is home to hundreds of species such as birds, retiles, fish…and sharks! The Whale Shark is known as the largest shark in the world and it gathers in Shark Bay during the ,months of April and May full moons.
Deep blue sea waves swirl into white foam as they spread across the sandy shore. The vibrant salty blue is flecked with shimmers that could be darting fish, bubbles from a whale, or a nearly transparent jellyfish. Is the sandy hue the seagrass floor? Or sea turtles nesting in the shoreline dunes? Your imagination can soar with the rising flocks of birds or leap with the dolphins or even cruise with graceful menace like a shark. Surely this is an OHM bead worthy of the name SHARK BAY.

OHM Woot Bear Phinneas
Do you remember the April OHMistry Project Woot Bear? He was a limited edition bead that was extremely popular! There were only 111 made and this little bear sold out fast! Designed by Steve Ferrera with OHM Beads, the Woot Bear Phinneas will now be available for regular release on July 2nd, 2020. I am so excited for those who really wanted to add this little bear into their bead collection, but were unable to!
I first featured my Woot Bear bead in my May Preview YouTube video. You can watch it HERE or down below:
The Woot Bear design was born in Steve Ferrera’s Berkeley art studio in 2016 for an art show at Woot Bear Gallery in San Francisco. The original bear was a 5-inch tall solid cast resin figure painted with acrylic paints…

The design continues to evolve and find new iterations, this time finding a home in the jewelry and bead world with OHM Beads in Seattle, Washington.
I love Woot Bear Phinneas. He has adorable OHM signature swirls as his fur and he is holding a cute staff. He has the sweetest expression and I am so happy he will be available worldwide!
And that concludes this blog post! Which bead is your favourite?
