Harry Potter x Pandora | My Bracelet Design
In today’s blog post, I am sharing some photos of my, Harry Potter x Pandora bracelet! I just finished filming a video about it and I am looking forward to editing it. Whenever I film, I always make sure to take photos, as well! That way, everything is cohesive and reflects well together.
I quickly edited these photos and I am excited to give you a quick look at the design I came up with!In the photo above, you’ll see a nice close up of the openwork charm: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This retails for $50 CAD and I have to tell you: I was shocked by the price point! I was expecting it to be around $80-100 CAD. When I received it in the mail from Gold-N-Memories Pandora, I could not get over the amount of detail on it! I also love that the back of the charm features the school’s crest and it is frame with dainty star details. Even without cubic zirconia, it is truly magical (and probably why it isn’t in the price range I was expecting to pay).
Beside that charm, heading over to the right, I also have Ogerbeads, Fire Fragments 2.0. It really makes me think of Harry Potter and almost resembles a lightning bolt! It contains pure magic, with touches of cubic zirconia and glitter and I cannot wait to edit the video, so you can see how it sparkles!Heading over to the left of the Hogwarts charm, we have the Gryffindor Dangle Charm, which is my house! Both on Pottermore and at Warner Bros. Studio’s “Sorting Hat”, I was sorted into the Gryffindor house. So was my husband!
I love this dangle for a number of different reasons:
1. It has SO much detail, all over. This is something I love to see on any charm or bead.2. It has magical, red cubic zirconia stars that just twinkle when they catch the light.
3. The bail detail reminds me of that old, classic Pandora look! I find that Pandora (recently) has been doing more plainer bails and it is sooo refreshing and lovely to see some more creativity to them.
4. The beautiful inscriptions on the bead: Gryffindor, Harry Potter and the three characteristics of Gryffindors: courage, determination, bravery.Beside this Pandora charm, I have Ogerbeads Red/Green Moonlight Murano. The yellow and red detailing remind me of Gryffindor and the fact that it glows in the dark…and turns into a green colour, is just totally Harry Potter vibes!
Moving along, we have the first charm I ordered from the Harry Potter x Pandora release: Dobby the House Elf Charm. He is my favourite Harry Potter character besides, Professor Snape. I just adore him and every time I read or watch about what happens to him, I cry so hard. It breaks my heart! He is just the sweetest and while the charm is a bit too cartoony, for my liking…I love him just the same and I could NOT…not get him.
I love his wide-open smile and his cute little ears. His feet are a bit too plain for my liking, but I just adore that he is holding a little white sock behind him. That part is soo detailed and brings tears to my eyes.
His garment has cute draped details and I love the black enamel button eyes. It’s lovely to see those little enamel accents.Over to the left of Dobby, you will spot the Black/Green Moonlight Murano from Ogerbeads. This also glows-in-the-dark and turns into a green colour, much like my other moonlight Murano shown earlier.
And there you have it! That is my Harry Potter themed charm bracelet! I have this bracelet on my Pandora Open Bangle, in case you were curious.
I would love to know what you think of my design and stay tuned for a video, coming out within the next few weeks.
ALSO: make sure to check out, Aali | Pandorably Charmed‘s video on her Harry Potter themed bracelet. She styled it on a Pandora Moments snake chain bracelet and added some really cute charms to go with it. I especially love the car charm, she picked out. So clever! You can watch her video, HERE. -
Valentines High Tea | Vegan Gluten Free
For Valentine’s Day, my husband and I went for high tea, after work! We had made a reservation to one of our favourite high tea spots and had been looking forward to it, for quite a few weeks.
This particular high tea spot is soo wonderful if you have gluten, dairy allergies or are vegan. They have a wonderful set menu for each or both of the concerns, so you never feel you have to make special requests. I cannot have gluten or dairy, so I always get the vegan option. It is amazing and their Valentine’s Day high tea was so beautiful done.Another lovely thing about this tea spot, is that you can have unlimited tea. This means, you can try a variety of tea and are not limited to one pot. If fact, you can even take a cup of tea to go, when you are done. And this is all included in both of their set high tea menus ($38 and $48 for the bubbly high tea).
They also steep and prepare the tea to the perfect temperature and time before bringing it to your table, so you are not obligated to time the steeping yourself. I love this because your tea is delicious and perfect upon serving! They also have a large tea menu with the cutest names! Many of them are named after the fairytale, Peter Pan.
The tea salon is decorated beautifully, with nods to Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland and beautiful balloon and tea inspired details.
We had such a lovely time and my husband surprised me with some beautiful Valentine’s Day gifts, including two new Pandora charms! Stay tuned for an upcoming blog post on these items.
We had such a wonderful time! Always amazing service and a romantic, yet fun dining experience. After we were done, we got some teas to go, packed up some treats we were too full to finish and headed to go see the new movie, Alita!
How did you spend your Valentine’s Day? -
My Wedding Dress (how I made it)
Hello Everyone! Here is a highly requested video about my wedding dress. This wedding dress is very special to me because I designed and made it myself! As a few of you know, I went to school for Fashion Design and it was so amazing to have complete creative freedom in designing my wedding gown. Everything from the fabric, to the silhouette, to the small details…it was such a special project! This video will include the process (and adventures) of designing my gown and some of the special details I love!!! I also go over my complete wedding look including shoes, veil, jewellery/accessories, flowers, makeup and hair! Oh, and of course my Pandora Bracelets! I truly hope you enjoy this video and thank you so much for requesting it. It was such fun to “re-live” the memories. I haven’t actually looked at my wedding dress since the big day…so you’ll get to see my reaction 3 years later, haha.
