Designing with Ogerbeads | Reminders of Spring

One of my Ogerbeads designs, a balance of silver and Murano glass beads.

Yesterday afternoon, I got home and was in the mood to design with some of my Ogerbeads. I ended up creating two new designs and I am so pleased with how they turned out. Both feel so magical and provide gentle reminders of spring, during the winter season.

My first design was inspired by the beautiful, Venetian Armadillo Murano glass bead. The colours remind me of a delicious cup of milky tea (or coffee), but I also noticed there was a pinky/purple hint of colour in one of the sections. This inspired me to pair it with my two, Orchid Pixie Dust fragments.

Can you spot, Always Moving Forward?

From there, I added some silver Ogerbeads: Flower Power (left of Venetian Armadillo), Serenity (right of Venetian Armadillo), Perspective (left side of bracelet), Symbiosis (right side of bracelet), as well as the, Acorn and Always Moving Forward silver beads. I also added two, Romance Glass Stone Fragments too! I really love how the peachy gold tones pair with Venetian Armadillo colours.

The next bracelet design, follows a more blue and purple colour theme. I was really inspired to use pieces from the Ogerbeads winter collection, especially some of the purple beads. Inspired by royalty…they do indeed have a regal look to them. And that deep purple is such a must for a winter season colour palette!

On this bracelet, you will see some of the previous silver beads I mentioned earlier. I find all of these beads so versatile, but I especially love, Flower Power and Serenity. They are in a similar shape to a Murano glass bead and pair beautiful beside them. I hope Ogerbeads releases more silver beads, like these ones. I would love to see more woodland, fairytale, space and abstract designs in these. What do you think?

    Victorian Murano Glass Bead

In the centre of this design, I chose to place the, Victorian Murano glass bead. It reminds me of a flower crown and I love the bits of gold and mixtures of purple and white accents.

From there, I added two of my favourite beads: Fairytale Pixie Dust Murano. These are just made of pure enchantment: blues, purples, golds, periwinkle and greens! They are truly spectacular!

I also added the, Juneberry Diamonds Pixie Dust Muranos, one Mystic Eyes Murano opposite of Royalty Murano and one Prosperity Murano paired opposite of the, Arabian Night Diamond Fragments. To stop my beads from falling off the bracelet, (when I have opened my clasp)…I also added the, Fairytale Stopper. I’m actually debating about ordering another one of these! It is so pretty and I would love to have two, just for balance and symmetry.

And that concludes my two new bracelet designs on my Ogerbeads bracelet. Ogerbeads (last time I checked) is currently sold out of their bracelets, but should have stock in again soon. I actually would love to order another bracelet, as my collection is growing and growing and it would be nice to have some more permanent designs kept on bracelets.

Harry Potter x Pandora | My Bracelet Design

In today’s blog post, I am sharing some photos of my, Harry Potter x Pandora bracelet! I just finished filming a video about it and I am looking forward to editing it. Whenever I film, I always make sure to take photos, as well! That way, everything is cohesive and reflects well together.

I quickly edited these photos and I am excited to give you a quick look at the design I came up with!

    From left to right:
Red/Green Moonlight (Ogerbeads), Gryffindor Dangle Charm (Pandora),
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (Pandora),
Fire Fragments 2.0 (Ogerbeads), Dobby the House Elf Charm (Pandora)

In the photo above, you’ll see a nice close up of the openwork charm: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This retails for $50 CAD and I have to tell you: I was shocked by the price point! I was expecting it to be around $80-100 CAD. When I received it in the mail from Gold-N-Memories Pandora, I could not get over the amount of detail on it! I also love that the back of the charm features the school’s crest and it is frame with dainty star details. Even without cubic zirconia, it is truly magical (and probably why it isn’t in the price range I was expecting to pay).

Beside that charm, heading over to the right, I also have Ogerbeads, Fire Fragments 2.0. It really makes me think of Harry Potter and almost resembles a lightning bolt! It contains pure magic, with touches of cubic zirconia and glitter and I cannot wait to edit the video, so you can see how it sparkles!

Heading over to the left of the Hogwarts charm, we have the Gryffindor Dangle Charm, which is my house! Both on Pottermore and at Warner Bros. Studio’s “Sorting Hat”, I was sorted into the Gryffindor house. So was my husband!

I love this dangle for a number of different reasons:

    1. It has SO much detail, all over. This is something I love to see on any charm or bead.

    2. It has magical, red cubic zirconia stars that just twinkle when they catch the light.

    3. The bail detail reminds me of that old, classic Pandora look! I find that Pandora (recently) has been doing more plainer bails and it is sooo refreshing and lovely to see some more creativity to them.

    4. The beautiful inscriptions on the bead: Gryffindor, Harry Potter and the three characteristics of Gryffindors: courage, determination, bravery.

    Gryffindor Dangle Pandora Charm

Beside this Pandora charm, I have Ogerbeads Red/Green Moonlight Murano. The yellow and red detailing remind me of Gryffindor and the fact that it glows in the dark…and turns into a green colour, is just totally Harry Potter vibes!

Moving along, we have the first charm I ordered from the Harry Potter x Pandora release: Dobby the House Elf Charm. He is my favourite Harry Potter character besides, Professor Snape. I just adore him and every time I read or watch about what happens to him, I cry so hard. It breaks my heart! He is just the sweetest and while the charm is a bit too cartoony, for my liking…I love him just the same and I could NOT…not get him.

Dobby the House Elf Pandora Charm

I love his wide-open smile and his cute little ears. His feet are a bit too plain for my liking, but I just adore that he is holding a little white sock behind him. That part is soo detailed and brings tears to my eyes.

His garment has cute draped details and I love the black enamel button eyes. It’s lovely to see those little enamel accents.

Can you spot the sock on the, Dobby the House Elf Pandora Charm?

Over to the left of Dobby, you will spot the Black/Green Moonlight Murano from Ogerbeads. This also glows-in-the-dark and turns into a green colour, much like my other moonlight Murano shown earlier.

And there you have it! That is my Harry Potter themed charm bracelet! I have this bracelet on my Pandora Open Bangle, in case you were curious.

I would love to know what you think of my design and stay tuned for a video, coming out within the next few weeks.

ALSO: make sure to check out, Aali | Pandorably Charmed‘s video on her Harry Potter themed bracelet. She styled it on a Pandora Moments snake chain bracelet and added some really cute charms to go with it. I especially love the car charm, she picked out. So clever! You can watch her video, HERE.

My Pandora Collection Overview | Jewellery Storage + Ohm Beads Play Tray

    A new video is up!

Playing a bit of catch up with some recent YouTube videos I uploaded on my channel recently…or should I say, last year?! I cannot believe we are already into 2020!!!

In this video, I share how I store my Pandora Jewellery, as well as my Ohm Beads, Ogerbeads, Trollbeads and Alex and Ani pieces. I also share an overview of my entire collection, with you! This has been requested by so many of you, but I’m always hesitant about filming this type of video. I have a huge collection and I know I’m very blessed to have such special and meaningful pieces. Each one tells a story or reflects a special loved one or memory. I really love that about charm bracelets!!!

Anyway! Here is where you can watch the video:

Now, I’ll share some information on where you can find these jewellery storage options, should you be curious!

The first is the jewellery box I picked up in November by Tuscan Designs. I found it at Homesense/Winners for $149. Since this is a store that only has limited stock, there is a very similar option on Wayfair by a brand called, Morelle Company. The style is called, Sophia Leather Jewellery Keepsake Box. This may be the only difference as my jewellery box is a faux leather.

    Pink Jewellery Box
    It is so gigantic!

Inside this jewellery box, I added a ring tray that I found on Amazon. In the video, I placed it in the middle layer, but I have since moved it to the top layer, below the glass section. You can shop it HERE.

You can see the ring tray hiding behind my hand and bracelet!

The last item is my grey, Less Play Ohm Play Tray! If the grey isn’t your thing, they have a quite a few colour options to choose from. I hope that one day soon, Ohm Beads will also come out with a light pink colour too (they currently have a hot pink one though)! If you would like to order the tray (and haven’t placed an Ohm Beads Order before), feel free to use my referral link to save 11% off your order, HERE.

Ohm Beads also has an anti-tarnish tray bag that is sold separately.
