In May 2019, Ohm Beads released their limited edition, OHM BOTM (Bead of the Month). They called it, Inner Self. These beads are uniquely special…there are only 555 of them, all with different variations of colour and detail in the embedded glass detail held inside exquisitely detailed sterling silver. Upon ordering, you will have no idea which embedded glass detail you will receive…the anticipation and guessing makes the arrival of this charm extra special!

The experience of opening this charm was truly incredible! I will be posting a youtube video of it, as well! Keep an eye out.

Each bead is serialized and engraved with an individual code and is sealed in a wooden keepsake box with golden lock and a mini, cotton black bag. The wooden box comes inside a velvet pouch, cleaning cloth and envelope. A mini certificate of authenticity with the number in the series is included. My bead is number 48/555. The charm retails for $140 CAD and let me tell you…it was worth every penny to me!

The meaning behind this charm is quite a personal one. Although, I won’t dive into the whole story (I will one day soon, promise)…this charm represents an injury/health problem I have currently been battling the past 1.5 years. It hasn’t been easy, but I find the best thing is to stay positive, focus on the good and trust in God.

The Inner Self bead I received is just perfect for me! It is primarily spotted green with white and gold speckled details. It reminds me of my love of the forest and outdoors. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or needing to “escape”…I want to run away into the forest! Whether it is just to read, run or hike, I feel most myself when I am surrounded by trees and forest creatures!

Ohm Beads’ meaning behind the charm is wonderful. Here is their inspiration behind it: One’s inner self is only partially exposed to the light of the sun. Sometimes it feels like we are showing ourselves fully but that is not true. So much remains hidden, and usually by choice. Our choice. When we prejudge the value of self before ever opening up to another soul we deprive ourselves of seeing ourselves as whole. Think of your whole private self. That self you become when you are alone, safe, comfortable, free of responsibilities and expectation. What are you like? Where are you? The WHY of existence is clear when you are here in the NOW. You are a fool with a magician’s power. You hold the keys to your life’s unlimited possibilities. Let your inner self open up to others, and you… you listen to your inner self.

This charm was much bigger than I was expecting it to be! It is quite the statement piece and would make a great centre piece charm or even a pendant! It is nearly an inch wide. I will keep you posted on how I end up styling it!
