I love this time of the year! The weather is so beautiful…the little glimmers of summer weather is so heartwarming! It’s so nice to make a cup of tea and look out the window and see the sun shining bright and early. My dog, Alice Haenim also loves it too…our early morning walks are warm and bright. She likes to go on longer walks and I love that! In the colder seasons, she can’t wait to go back inside on early morning walks 🐾
I’m getting so excited for summer adventures…and summer outfits! I recently received a new package from Namjosh with 5 gifted headbands from their new summer collection, including this one I’m wearing! Isn’t it so pretty and perfect for a day at the beach…or beach dreaming? 🏝️ it features a seahorse and a starfish on each side of the headband. I styled it with my white dress and I love how they look together. 🤍

I’m excited to share more summer styling with my new Namjosh headbands. I love how headbands add colour and a natural glow to my face and dress up an outfit so nicely! ✨
Each Namjosh Headband is handmade in India. They are fair trade and sustainably made too!
I have a new video up on my YouTube channel, sharing a review of Namjosh headbands, as well as an unboxing of the summer collection. You can find the Namjosh review and styling video here:
Do you own any Namjosh Headbands?
In today’s blog post, I am sharing a review of Namjosh! Namjosh is a hair and accessories line from India. Namjosh creates gorgeous headpieces including headbands, barrettes, scrunchies and hair ties. Each piece is handmade by skilled artisans.
I love the quality of each piece and it’s so special wearing a piece that you know was lovingly made. I also love the Namjosh pieces are sustainably made and Fair Trade!
I was so excited to unbox my Namjosh package. It came beautifully packaged in an eco-friendly box and a lovely fabric bag. Each headband was carefully packaged with a cardboard insert and tissue, to prevent it from bending and to maintain the shape. I received three headbands, as well as a Pony Scarf Hair Tie.
If you would like to see a short video review (to see an unboxing and the headpieces in motion), you can find it HERE:
Here are the three headbands I received:
Wheel of Fame | Beaded Cotton Headband | Everyday, Casual Piece
Wheel of Fame is a 100% cotton denim blue headband with hand applied beaded accents done in a spiral pattern. When I originally purchased this item, I felt it would pair great with white and blue, but I have since styled it with lavender, pink and red colours and it compliments them beautifully. It is a wonderful versatile piece. Out of the three headbands, this is my most worn piece, so far! It’s a great “everyday, easy styling” casual piece.
Beige Peony | Polyester Headband with floral beadwork | Casual or Party Piece
Beige Peony is a gorgeous piece made of 100% polyester material. As soon as I saw a photo of it, I had to have one! It has the most beautiful autumn themed design. The tulle colour of beige paired with the floral and leaf embroidery beadwork are stunning. They remind me of an enchanting autumn day. This headband is great for a casual outfit pairing, but easy to dress up for an evening out or party!
Crystal Queen | Polyester Headband, Golden Beadwork | Party or Evening Out Piece
Crystal Queen is a perfect party or evening out piece! It is great for holiday season, but also lovely to wear for a wedding, special occasion, Valentine’s Day and more! It is a beautiful pop of colour and you can pair it with black, white, yellow, gold, pink or even a dark blue! I love how it draws attention to your face and really adds colour and vibrance! It is available in a variety of colours. My favourites were the pink (shown) and the red (on my Wishlist) and features gold crystal embellishment. It is made of 100% polyester chiffon and has a beautiful golden lining.
And here is the beautiful hair tie I received:
Pony Scarf Hair Tie | Casual, Every day Piece
I am a huge fan of hair ties! Back in 2020 and early 2021, I wore them almost every day! I had longer, fine hair back then and I felt having a hair tie added extra volume and fun, especially when I wore my hair in a ponytail! I still love wearing hair ties, but since my hair is shorter now, I find I haven’t worn my hair into a ponytail, as often. I am excited to try this hair tie out!
Which one is your favourite? Tell me down below! ✨

A special thank you to Namjosh for gifting me these gorgeous headbands to review and style with! A huge thank you to this community, as well! I wouldn’t have these opportunities without each and every one of you 🤍

Last week, I posted a new Marshalls Haul video! I went shopping in August for some summer night outfits for a fun girl’s trip. I’ve been travelling and I didn’t have a lot of dressy pieces with me. I decided to go to Marshall to see what they had for end of summer clearance items…I always am looking for a deal! In the video, I share what I picked up! You will see a few summer dresses, 2 handbags and 3 pairs of shoes! I wanted to be able to mix and match the accessories! Some of the pieces/outfits are transitional too, great as we head into autumn weather.
You can watch the video HERE or down below:
Have you gone to Marshalls lately? I have been loving seeing what they have for autumn decor too! Speaking of which, in addition to my @fashionstoryteller Instagram account, I recently created a home account too! It is called, @amagicalhome. Make sure to check it out!
Comfy cozy in some of my new pieces from the Roots summer sale! 💕 I was so excited to see that a few of the loungewear pieces I was tempted to get (from the spring collection)…went on sale! How gorgeous is the Nostalgia Rose colour? Pink is my favourite 💕🐾 Even Alice Haenim agrees that these new pieces are comfy! ✨
I just posted a new YouTube video sharing a quick look and review of the different pieces I picked out from the sale! You can watch the video HERE or down below:

Last week, I posted a new Outfit and Jewellery of the Day Youtube video! I am shared how I styled my Stellar 25 lounge dress with a mixture of jewellery from Pandora, Moress, Elfbeads and Beads Candy Shop! You can find the video HERE or down below:
For Pandora jewellery, I wore a mixture of Pandora rings, as well as my Blue Butterfly Hoop Pandora Earrings and Sparkling Blue Moon & Stars Heart Pandora Necklace.
For my bracelet stack, I used a mixture of Moress Charms and murano glass beads from Elf Beads. To have a full list of each individual bead, check out the description bar of my Youtube video!

Happy Release Day to OHM Beads! Today, their January 2021 Release launched. This release has 3 collections: OHM Chinese New Year, OHM Beauty and OHM Rawr. If you would like to see a detailed look at the pieces in this release, I do have a Youtube video sharing closeups in motion:
In today’s blog post, I am sharing how I styled my OHM Rawr beads with an outfit of the day! I also share two other bracelet designs using the beads from the OHM Chinese New Year Collection and the OHM Beauty Collection.
This blog post is also co-hosted by the sweet Alice Haenim. When I was taking photos for this blog, she came right over and wanted me to pick her up. She was quite curious about what I was up to!
If you would like to know more about her (she is a rescue dog from Korea) and hear her adoption story, check out my @fashionstoryteller IGTV video or my pet account, @pawfectella.
So, if you ready for today’s blog post…Make sure to grab a delicious cup of tea (I’m enjoying some Buddha’s Blend from DAVIDsTEA) and let’s get started!

OHM Rawr, OHM Beauty and OHM CNY collections were gifted to me by OHM Beads. OHM Bird Cage was sent to review.
Outfit Styling with the OHM Rawr Collection
I love the glass beads in the OHM Rawr collection. The earthy, stone-like colours look so cool paired with the sterling silver beads. The names of the three glass beads are: OHM Gondwana, OHM Rodinia and OHM Pangaea.
As soon as I saw these glass beads, I couldn’t wait to pair them with my dress from American Eagle. It is called the Soft and Sexy Plush Tunic Dress. The tunic dress and colours of the OHM glass beads match so well together! This tunic dress is a few seasons old, but you can find a similar version HERE. I actually am tempted to purchase this tunic dress too.
I love the Soft and Sexy Plush line from American Eagle, especially during the autumn and winter seasons. They are made of 74% Viscose and 21% Polyester. They are soft to the touch. I have a few pieces from the collection and each one is cozy and comfortable. I find them especially perfect if you work from home or for a casual weekend!
I also love that the pieces in the Soft and Sexy Plush line are basic wardrobe staples, making them great for layering with a faux leather jacket, favourite sweater/cardigan, scarf or vest!
To accessorize my tunic dress, I decided to add a statement necklace. I chose the OHM Bird Cage. This pendant is unique. It also has a “locket-like” quality where you have the option of adding something special inside of it. The door opens and it has a little lock to keep it closed. I chose to wear it with nothing inside and without the lock.
If you would like to hear more about the OHM Bird Cage, Nichol of @myprettycharmedlife and I did an Instagram Live video on it, as well as a few other BBQ beads. You can watch it HERE.
Also, to accessorize (and stay cozy), I added my La Vie En Rose Knitted Knee-High Socks in Grey. I love the cute pom-pom details! Do you prefer cozy socks or slippers? I love both!
Here is a close up of my OHM Plain Bangle with pieces from the OHM Beauty Collection. Each bead in the OHM Beauty Collection comes inside its own magenta pink box. I love this pop of colour! As mentioned in my Youtube video, I would love OHM Beads to come out with a magenta pink (or rose pink) OHM Whip Bracelet!
Not worn, but also released today is the OHM Chinese New Year collection! I had so much fun styling these new pieces onto my Lucky Red OHM Whip Bracelet. I am excited to share another outfit of the day, styling this bracelet. Stay tuned!
And that concludes today’s blog post! Do you have any favourite pieces from this release? If so, how would you style them?
Have a wonderful rest of your week every one!
Happy Beadmas 2020! I hope you are all had a great week. I cannot believe it is already Friday and day 4 of Beadmas!
In today’s blog post, I am sharing a cozy outfit styled with some holiday themed OHM Beads piece.
So, make sure to grab a delicious cup of tea and let me share my outfit with you!
For jewellery, I am wearing my Lucky Red OHM Whip Bracelet. It is limited edition and exclusive to OHM in Taiwan. It is such a brilliant pop of red. Perfect for the holiday season, but year round too! On it, I have a mixture of Beadmas, Christmas/Holiday beads, as well as beads such as OHM OHMily and OHM Bead Mail. These two beads remind me of this amazing bead community and the wonderful people at OHM.
I am also wearing my OHM Drop Necklace paired with OHM Candy Crush, OHM Sugar Dipped and OHM Ice Cube. I am obsessed with OHM Ice Cube and find myself using it with a lot of necklace designs. It is perfect for the winter season! BUT…it’s also fun to wear in the summer, when you need to “cool off”. It is an exclusive bead to OHM in Thailand.
For clothing, I am wearing a ruffled sweater vest I purchased from Anthropologie almost two years ago. This vest is a great layering piece and it is very versatile. I can dress it up or down. I can also wear it in the spring, autumn and winter seasons. It has a nice amount of warmth to it! I also love the creamy colour to it! I tried to find a similar version, but I couldn’t find an exact match. Another vest I have been eying (in a similar colour) is the Maddie Sherpa Vest from Anthropologie.
For today’s outfit, I paired it with an older cotton shirt from Marshals for a more casual look.

A new video is up on my youtube channel! I am so proud with how this video turned out. Would you believe I probably spent about 12.5 hours total with filming and editing? I tend to get these fun ideas and images in my head of how I want a video to look…and I may get a bit crazy with filming and editing to make it as close to the ideas in my head!
I often get asked, “who films your videos”. This is such a compliment to me because…well, actually I film all my own footage and edit it myself!!! I usually set up a tripod and play around with different angles. This may take more time, but it is worth it because I get some lovely shots.
Occasionally, (more so, if I am outdoors), my husband will help take some footage for me. I don’t like leaving my tripod and camera unattended, so I feel safer having him around to guide the camera! However, this can be challenging too because I am not always sure if he is capturing the exact angle I am envisioning. Often, I’ll try to show him first, so he can have a rough idea. But what also ends up happening, is he sees a cool shot or angle and I end up loving that too! In this particular video however, it was all filmed by me!
This particular video features my Pandora Valentine’s Day bracelet (all about the charm meanings and why I put them on) as well as detailed information about my Valentine’s Day outfit and other accessories including handbag, shoes and other Pandora jewellery. Here’s a couple shots:
What did you wear on Valentine’s Day and did you have a special Valentine’s Day outfit?
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
Love Emily xx
When it’s a warmer winter day and the sun is shining, it is so nice to go outside for an afternoon stroll. Although, my husband and I love to go on walks (or hikes) together, no matter the weather! It is such a great time to catch up on each other’s lives, share ideas and enjoy one another’s company. AND…to take some fun photos of each other!
While my husband is a bit “social media shy”, he did let me post one photo of him, or rather…his favourite shoes (see below). And he helped me take some photos of my outfit! Usually, I am always setting up my tripod and putting the timer on to take my outfit photos. But wow!!! He was such a huge help and we had fun taking creative shots together. He was so great at listening to my ideas and making them happen! What a difference it makes having your best friend help you!
Following this particular afternoon stroll/fun mini photo shoot, we headed over to a local cafe for some delicious tea lattes. They were wonderful, but sadly…no pictures to tempt you with!
Let’s head over to the outfit photos!
I was wearing a wool coat, but since it wasn’t freezing outside, I decided I could brave a bit more cold…for a few outfit of the day photos! 😉
These flats are so comfortable and easy to walk in. And I love the light blush colour and velvet finish. I tend to opt for flats whenever possible or a nice chunky heel for casual weekends.
My husband loves these shoes. He has had them for over a year and loves dressing them up or down. He got them at the Hudson’s Bay.
Today’s bracelet stack combined my, Enchanted Forest Pandora Rose Bracelet with my Pandora Rose Bangle. I also wore my tan sliding leather bracelet on my other wrist with accompanying rose charms. And (of course) a few Pandora Rings and my fairytale tiara earrings.
I purchased this Nanette Lepore blush pink handbag back in the summer time and what a fantastic purchase it was! I have worn it so many times and I find the colour still works well for the fall and winter, depending on what you pair with it! Blush can be a neutral! And I love how it looks paired with my box pleat pants.
