Harlow’s Adoption Birthday | Beadmas Day 10
Happy Beadmas 2020! I hope you had a great week. Today, we are celebrating Harlow’s Adoption Birthday, as well as Day 10 of Beadmas!
In today’s blog post, I am sharing some of my favourite facts about my very special guinea pig. Many of you came to know Harlow on my Youtube videos. She often co-hosted with me and was a great little jewellery model. She was also (and still is) one of my very best friends. She is now a Guardian Guinea Angel. She went to heaven in the Spring of 2019.

Many people described Harlow as more like a dog, then a guinea pig. She loved being by my side. She would come out of her habitat to find me. She also loved exploring around our home and going on adventures with us outside. She came on picnics, short nature walks (we would carry her) and once she even came to a waterfall with us! Check out my Youtube Video “In-Loving Memory” for a photo.
She was also washroom trained. So much so, that she would let me know when she would have to go and I would bring her back to her habitat.
Her favourite foods were kale, arugula, apples and strawberries. Oh, and of course Timothy Hay and her Oxbow Support treats!
Harlow also loved “tea time” with me. She enjoyed taste testing all the different herbal teas. She loved “Harlow Approving” the “tea of the day” during DAVIDsTEA 24 Days of Tea too.Harlow was extremely affectionate and loved cuddle time. She also loved to take naps with me and would gentle wake me up when she got hungry or had to go to the washroom. I would drop her off and not long later, she would be “wheeking” for me to come back and get her.
She would also “purr” a very affectionate sound, all the time! This is one of the sounds I miss hearing the most.
I think one of my favourite things about Harlow was how compassionate and loyal she was. Whenever I was having a tough day or not feeling well, she would never leave my side.
Harlow’s personality was confident, compassionate and courageous. She was the leader (or Queen, as we like to say) of our two other guinea pigs, Zooey and Georgina. She loved bossing them around and “setting them straight”! Harlow enjoyed both Zooey and Georgina’s friendship, but she was extra close with Georgina.
Harlow also loved meeting new human friends, especially if they gave her treats! She was very social for a guinea pig
Harlow was an Abyssinian Guinea Pig which means she had beautiful rosette-like fur. It would grow in different directions and would grow out in “circular like” shapes.
The colour of her fur was a mixture of colours: red, gold, blonde and white. I also liked to say her fur was a caramel colour.And that concludes some of my favourite facts about Harlow! She was a very special guinea pig and a best friend I will never forget.

In today’s blog post, I am sharing a cozy outfit styled with some holiday themed OHM Beads piece.

For jewellery, I am wearing my Lucky Red OHM Whip Bracelet. It is limited edition and exclusive to OHM in Taiwan. It is such a brilliant pop of red. Perfect for the holiday season, but year round too! On it, I have a mixture of Beadmas, Christmas/Holiday beads, as well as beads such as OHM OHMily and OHM Bead Mail. These two beads remind me of this amazing bead community and the wonderful people at OHM.
I am also wearing my OHM Drop Necklace paired with OHM Candy Crush, OHM Sugar Dipped and OHM Ice Cube. I am obsessed with OHM Ice Cube and find myself using it with a lot of necklace designs. It is perfect for the winter season! BUT…it’s also fun to wear in the summer, when you need to “cool off”. It is an exclusive bead to OHM in Thailand.
The Clothing:
For clothing, I am wearing a ruffled sweater vest I purchased from Anthropologie almost two years ago. This vest is a great layering piece and it is very versatile. I can dress it up or down. I can also wear it in the spring, autumn and winter seasons. It has a nice amount of warmth to it! I also love the creamy colour to it! I tried to find a similar version, but I couldn’t find an exact match. Another vest I have been eying (in a similar colour) is the Maddie Sherpa Vest from Anthropologie.
For today’s outfit, I paired it with an older cotton shirt from Marshals for a more casual look.

Ogerbeads | Winter’s Wishes 2020 Collection
Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends! A huge virtual hug over to you. Although this Thanksgiving is a little different, I hope it will be special, cozy and full of love…in its own way!

The Murano Glass Beads:
Snowdust Flowers, Pureness and Luxury look beautiful. I love the warm tones of gold mixed with creamy whites.
Beyond the Stars, Galactic and Violet Sparklz all feature touches of cubic zirconia accents. I bet these catch the light so beautifully!
Dark Purple Feather is a bead I cannot wait to see in person. It looks like it has beautiful dimension and detail. I am also excited to see more Moonlight beads releasing. The Moonlight beads glow in the dark!
These are the two other beads I am so excited about! Dawn and Fairytale Forest look so enchanting and very much my style!
The last two beads, Blueberry Dream and Midnight Dream feature cooler colour themes. They remind me of the Murano glass beads from Ogerbeads’ Spring/Summer 2020 collection.

It’s November 20th! Today we celebrate the relaunch of the Stars charm! The original style number of this vintage charm was 790348 and was originally known as the Seeing Stars charm. It was made in both a 14 ct. gold charm, as well as a sterling silver version. The 20th Anniversary Stars charm is done in sterling silver. The Pandora 20 hallmark is displayed on the front of the charm, near the far left corner.

Each 2020 Stars charm comes with a certificate, confirming its authenticity.

This charm has to be in my top three favourites of the 20th Anniversary charms! This charm speaks to my heart, as it reminds me of a special Eskimo Proverb:
“Perhaps they are not stars, but rather openings in heaven where love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.”
I have heard this proverb before and it has always made my heart smile. It has only been a few days since my dear miniature poodle Ella, passed away. This charm could not have been released at a better time for me. It will serve as a reminder that she’s looking down on me now, shining brightly. I would love to get two of these charms, if I am lucky. I want to add one to my “PawfectElla” themed Pandora Bracelet, inspired by her. I would also like to add it to my Pandora 20 themed bracelet too.

Pandora’s design team worked with a Disney Princess Specialist to ensure every piece of jewellery perfectly reflects the beloved fairytale. Each hand-finished pieces are inspired by Disney Cinderella’s journey and feature beloved characters and themes from the film.
Tapping into beloved characters and themes from the film, the designers carefully created pieces inspired by Disney Cinderella’s enchanting journey.
It is very hard for me to pick a favourite from this collection. As many of you know, I am a huge Disney Cinderella lover. In fact, my miniature poodle name (Ella) was inspired by Cinderella herself!
I have two Cinderella themed Pandora Bracelets already and I think it is safe to say that I will be starting a third! I love every single one of these charms! I also love the new earrings, necklace and ring. They have such intricate and whimsical details.The Bracelet:
I love that Pandora made the Pumpkin Coach into a clasp! I am currently debating if I should change my Ella themed bracelet from my Disney Parks Pandora Moments Bracelet for this one! It is so beautiful.
The Charms:
This dangle reminds me of my guinea pigs and Ella. I am currently debating whether it should go on my Ella themed Pandora Bracelet or add it to a new bracelet design. I will keep you guys posted!
I love openwork charms and this one has the clock tower on the back!
It is so lovely to see little Suzy and a sewing themed charm from Pandora. I have wanted a sewing charm for YEARS! As many of you know, my background is in Fashion Design and I have always been sad that Pandora never released a sewing charm into their Hobby charms. It is finally here and it could not be more adorable or magical! I love this scene from the movie.
The scene where the Fairy-Godmother transforms Cinderella’s torn dress into an enchanting ballgown is iconic and a beloved magical moment! I love how Pandora added blue cubic zirconia’s to represent the Fairy-Godmother’s magic!
If I had to pick a favourite Disney character, it would have to be Gus (Gus Gus). He is so funny and sweet. I love how Pandora added his hat with green enamel detailing. He also has the cutest little expression on his face!
Pandora updated the two-tone 14 ct. gold version of the Carriage charm into an enchanting Pandora Rose version! It looks so feminine and romantic. It will pair beautifully with the Disney Parks Cinderella Coach Charm.

Halloween Bracelet | Ogerbeads & Corner 35

In today’s blog post, I am sharing a look at another Halloween themed bracelet. This bracelet is primarily Ogerbeads, but has a spooky touch of Corner 35. I really love how this bracelet design turned out, but I do have a sad story: I lost this bracelet just over a week ago. But more on that later!

The Beads:
The first three beads I have to share with you are some of my favourite Murano glass beads from Ogerbeads. As my centrepiece bead, I have Snowdust Confetti. I love the dotted details and golden sparkle. It reminds me of a cold Halloween Night! Snowdust Confetti is included in the 3=2 promotion from Ogerbeads.
Further spread out from Snowdust Confetti, I have two Snowdust Baroque Festival beads. Both the small core and retiring universal core (3=2 deal) size options are on sale. I love the golden swirls on this bead. It adds a hint of magic and chilling breeze!
To the left of Snowdust Confetti, I have my favourite sterling silver bead from Ogerbeads: Bewitched. You may remember me featuring this bead on last year’s Halloween bracelets YouTube video:
The Bewitched bead is part of Ogerbeads 5PlusDeal (receive a 6th bead free when you order 5). It has so many “spooktacular” details including a menacing grin, witches hat, cobwebs and a spider.
To the right of Snowdust Confetti, we have the cutest spooky friend: Wannabe Ghost by Corner 35.

Moving along, I also have two sterling silver beads from Ogerbeads. They are opposite sides of the bangle. They are Perspective and Universe. They are also included in the 5PlusDeal.
For bangle stoppers, I added two Black Widow Stoppers from Ogerbeads, also included in the 5PlusDeal.

As mentioned earlier, I lost this bangle bracelet just over a week ago. I was out for the entire day. It was when I got home that night, that I realized the bracelet was missing. I was shocked and heartbroken!
The next day, I tried to retrace my steps. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful at finding it.
How did I manage to loose it? I believe the bangle fell off my wrist on my morning walk with my miniature poodle, Ella. I usually put the handle part of her leash, on my wrist. I hold the rest of the leash in my hand.
Since this bangle is quite flexible, I am confident that part pulled onto the open bangle design (as Ella pulled on the leash) and that expanded it. It would only be a matter of minutes before it would fall off. And since I was already wearing an additional bracelet and had the leash on my wrist, I did not notice it falling.As some of you know, it is so heartbreaking when you loose a jewellery item, but I like to think that someone found it, who needed a smile in their day. It makes me happy to think someone is wearing it and loving it. And the silver lining is that these beads are currently still available. I will be able to replace them, over time.
I will need to be more cautious with open bangle designs, moving forward. I won’t be wearing them on walks with Ella, that is for sure! It was a good lesson learned.
